Dear Parents and Guardians,
As the school year draws to a close and we embark on the summer break, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an exceptional year of learning, growth, and collaboration within our school community. This was my first school year with SD 308, and I could not be more excited to be part of this dynamic learning community.
I want to express my gratitude to each of you for your unwavering support and partnership with our schools throughout the year. The dedication and involvement of our parents and guardians have been pivotal in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment for our students.
This year, our schools have seen remarkable achievements, both academically and in extracurricular activities. Students are truly part of their educational experience in our district, with choices and experiences that open their minds and broaden horizons. These successes are a testament to the hard work of our teachers, staff, and, of course, our students.
We have also made significant strides in planning for the future. Thanks to numerous collaborative efforts, we have identified priorities and initiatives aimed at enhancing the educational experience for all students. By devoting time and resources to sustainable structures and systems, we can focus on learning innovation and continuous improvement. Through savings realized by not borrowing with Tax Anticipation Warrants for the first time in nearly 20 years, coupled with a deeper evaluation of spending and opportunities for savings, we're able to invest in our human resources- providing greater supports for building leaders and their teaching staffs. We've had the opportunity to celebrate differences through several student events, acknowledging what makes us each unique while realizing we're all together in this CommUNITY of learning. This has really been an incredible year!
As we look ahead to the next school year, I am excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. We will continue to build on the strong foundation we have established, working together to foster a community where every student can achieve throughout their unique educational journey. Throughout the summer our principals and administrative teams will be working hard to prepare for next school year. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
Thank you once again for your ongoing support and collaboration. I wish you all a safe, enjoyable, and restful summer. We look forward to welcoming our students back in August, ready for another year of learning and discovery.
Warmest regards,
Dr. Andalib Khelghati Superintedent of Schools
