📢 Dear Descanso Families,
Welcome back from Spring Break, Redhawks! This week was a whirlwind of exciting activities.
Safety First & Solar Science:
We hit the ground running with a refresher on our school-wide rules through fun and interactive "expectation stations" to ensure a safe and successful rest of the year. The entire school then gathered in awe to witness the solar eclipse firsthand! This celestial event sparked curiosity and led to engaging classroom lessons exploring the scientific reasons behind it.
Celebrating Success:
On Friday, we proudly held our Redhawk Recognition Assembly to celebrate the many students who consistently demonstrate our core values: Safety, Respect, and Responsibility. Their Redhawk spirit was truly inspiring!
Math Night Update:
While our Family Math Night won't be happening this time around due to current interest levels, don't fret! We're already looking ahead to scheduling a fun and engaging event for the beginning of the next school year.
Mark Your Calendars!
As you plan your schedules, remember that the last day of school, which will also be our 6th Grade Promotion Ceremony, will be held on Monday, June 10th.
We hope you have a wonderful weekend, Redhawk Families!
