🏫 Open House Success:
Wednesday's Open House provided families with a wonderful opportunity to connect with teachers, explore classrooms, and celebrate student accomplishments. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this special event!
🍕 AR Pizza Party:
Thursday was a day of celebration as we honored students who reached their reading goals during Trimester 2. The AR Pizza Party was a fun-filled occasion where students were recognized for their dedication to reading and achieving success.
🌟 Monthly Assembly Highlights:
Today, during our monthly assembly, we shined a spotlight on the character trait of caring and celebrated the achievements of our spotlight students. Additionally, we recognized students with outstanding attendance awards. Congratulations to all our deserving recipients!
🌸 Spring Break Begins:
As today marks the beginning of Spring Break, students are off for two weeks of rest and relaxation. We hope everyone enjoys this well-deserved time off and returns rejuvenated and ready to dive back into learning on Monday, April 8th.
📅 Upcoming Events:
- Family Math Night: Save the date for our special Family Math Night on April 25th! The deadline to RSVP is April 10th. We look forward to an evening of mathematical exploration and fun for the whole family.
- Important Calendar Update: Due to weather-related school closures, our last day of school has been shifted to Monday, June 10th, which will be a minimum day. Please mark your calendars accordingly.
As we embark on Spring Break and look forward to exciting events ahead, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated students, families, and staff for making Descanso Elementary such a vibrant place.
