It's been an eventful week here in Descanso, filled with joy, laughter, and community spirit.
Tuesday Night Ice Skating at Viejas: A heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us on Tuesday night for a thrilling ice skating adventure at Viejas! The rink was filled with laughter and the sounds of blades gliding across the ice. It was truly heartwarming to see so many families come together and create lasting memories. Santa Claus Pays a Surprise Visit: Guess who made a surprise appearance this week? None other than the jolly old man himself, Santa Claus! His unexpected visit brought smiles and excitement to both young and old. We're grateful for the festive spirit.
Friday's Redhawk Recognition Assembly: As the week progressed, we gathered on Friday for our weekly Redhawk Recognition Assembly. It was a time to celebrate the achievements, hard work, and positive attitudes of our students. Congratulations to all the students who were recognized for their outstanding efforts.
Holiday Shop for Students: Get ready for a holiday shopping extravaganza! Starting next week in the ASP Room, we will be hosting our Holiday Shop, providing students with the perfect opportunity to find special gifts for their loved ones. The shop will be a winter wonderland of trinkets and treasures, and we can't wait to see the creativity and thoughtfulness our students will bring to their gift selections.
Schedule for the Holiday Shop:
Monday: Classes will have the chance to preview the shop, allowing students to plan and create their wish lists.
Tuesday: It's shopping time! Students will have the opportunity to visit the Holiday Shop with their classmates, selecting thoughtful gifts for family and friends.
Before and After School: Parents, we invite you to join the festive fun! The shop will be open before and after school, providing the perfect opportunity for you to accompany your children as they explore the wonderful array of holiday delights.
Jingle Grams for Holiday Cheer: But that's not all! Our Student Council is spreading holiday cheer with Jingle Grams all next week during recess and after school. For just $1.00, students can purchase these festive greetings to send warm wishes to their friends, teachers, or anyone who could use a bit of holiday joy. It's a fantastic way to uplift spirits and create lasting memories during this special time of the year.
