Open Enrollment Starts November 6, 2023 |
Our annual open enrollment period will be November 6, 2023 to November 19, 2023. This is an excellent opportunity for all staff to review their current benefit elections and make any desired changes for the benefit period that will run between January 1, 2024 and June 30, 2024. There will be a second open enrollment window in May that will cover benefit elections between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025. Members of the H.R. Department will be visiting locations across the District to answer questions and provide assistance to staff during open enrollment. View our schedule of where and when we will be coming to your building. If you have any questions regarding open enrollment, please call Glenn Campos at (630) 636-3680.

In 2024, District 308 will be joining the Employee Benefit Cooperative (EBC) to limit cost increases by leveraging the combined purchasing power of 28,000 employees from more than 125 districts in Illinois. By joining the EBC, staff will gain access to teladoc for virtual doctor appointments, an enhanced Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with five face-to-face visits, basic identity theft protection from InfoArmor, and travel emergency assistance through OnCall.
Due to increases in claims costs and volume, the District will need to increase premiums for medical and dental insurance starting January 1st. By moving to the EBC, the District was able to reduce the increases to an average of 5.2% for medical insurance and 9.4% for dental insurance. Please view our 2024 medical, dental, and vision rates.

What Stays The Same For 2024? |
In 2024, we will continue to have Blue Cross Blue Shield and Delta Dental for our medical and dental insurance providers. This means that our plan designs with respect to deductibles, coinsurance, copays, and out-of-pocket maximums will remain unchanged. Staff on our medical insurance will also continue to have access to FirstStop Health for virtual counseling and telemedicine, Hinge Health for musculoskeletal support, Livongo for diabetes and hypertension control, and WondrHealth for weight loss. Additionally, we will continue to partner with MetLife for supplemental coverage like Critical Illness, Hospital Indemnity, and Accident insurance, and with InfoArmor for enhanced beyond the free coverage available to all staff.

How Do I Update My Elections? |

What If I’m Not Making Any Changes? |
We will be running a passive open enrollment for the benefit period of January 1, 2024 to June 30, 2024. With the exception of those who wish to start or continue a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for medical and/or dependent care expenses–who must affirmatively enroll each year under Federal Regulations–all of your current selections will roll over. |
