Dear SRVHS Students and Families,
With the 2023-24 school year underway, we are excited to share with our community one of the cherished traditions that makes our school so special: our rich football tradition. SRV home games are more than just athletic competitions; they are an invitation for our community to come together and create lasting memories.
Attending high school athletics contests is a privilege and we encourage spectators of all ages to come root for the Wolves and enjoy a wholesome, positive experience. We believe in cheering passionately for our own team while respecting and appreciating the talents of our opponents. We encourage our fans to be loud and proud but also to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship, treating all with respect and dignity. Our goal is to make each home game a positive community event where everyone feels welcome and valued and this includes:
- Being positive, cheering for our team rather than against the opposition
- Treating visiting players and families with respect
- Refraining from booing
- Never addressing any athlete directly, whether from the home or visiting school
Safety is our top priority at all SRVHS events. As such, we expect all students to abide by all SRVUSD policies and be responsive to redirection and prompting of appropriate behavior. To ensure adequate safety at SRVHS football games and events, students grades 8 or below may not attend a home SRVHS football game or school event without a parent/guardian present for supervision. A parent/guardian may be responsible for up to three students grade 8 or below. Proper supervision by the parent/guardian is expected for the entirety of the time the students are on campus and/or present at SRVHS events.
To ensure all students and spectators can plan accordingly, please note the following:
-
All ticket sales are online through SRVHS GoFan only. It is advised to purchase tickets prior to your arrival.
- There are no in and out privileges at SRVHS games.
- Backpacks are not permitted in the stadium.
-
Scooters, skateboards, bikes, and/or toys of any kind are not allowed at SRVHS events and must be left outside of the gates at the owner’s risk.
Thank you for being a vital part of the SRV family. We can't wait to see you in the stands, cheering for our teams and making our football games a true celebration of unity and togetherness. Thank you for your partnership in promoting school spirit in a positive atmosphere and making our events safe and enjoyable for all.
Sincerely,
Whitney Cottrell
