PTO Holiday Outing – Eat, drink and be merry. Join us on December 14 at 7:00 pm at Eagle Brook Saloon in Norfolk. Will there be impromptu singing? Will you make your next best friend? Only one way to find out! This event is open to all Wrentham parents who have or want to volunteer with the PTO.

Altitude -Kids bouncing off the walls driving you crazy? Looking for something fun to do during winter break? P-Bruins – January might be cold, but things are heating up for the Providence Bruins! Get in on the action by joining Wrentham PTO on January 15 for a 3:05 pm Bruins game at the Amica Mutual Pavilion. It’s only $25 per person and $5 from each ticket goes back to our PTO. Year-round Reminder
Box Tops – Do you buy groceries? Chances are you’re earning money for our schools without realizing it. Select brands and products earn Box Tops Education points which turn into cash. Download the Box Tops app on your phone and scan your paper receipt every time you buy groceries – at the supermarket and at big box stores like Target and Walmart. It’s easy peasy!
Textiles bin - We have partnered with Bay State Textiles for an ongoing textile recycling fundraiser. There is a large, white recycling bin in the parking lot by the Janelli Annex. We generate a rebate of $100 per ton of textiles collected. An easy way to help! Clothing, shoes, linens, stuffed animals as well as many more items can be recycled in the bin. Visit www.baystatetextiles.com to see a detailed list of what can be recycled.

Computer Science Education Week and Hour of Code Bingo Challenge
This year's annual CSEd Week is December 5th to 11th. While there will be plenty of engaging activities in school throughout the week as we help students participate in an Hour of Code, we want to offer a way for students to bring the excitement of the week home to share with their families. This year we are bringing back the Hour of Code Bingo Challenge!!! Students are challenged to get bingo on their bingo card by completing three activities in a row and returning the card to their technology teacher by December 16th for a chance to win lunch with their technology teacher. There will be a separate drawing for the Delaney and Roderick schools. Make sure the student's name is on the top of the card. Students will be bringing a card home or you can print your own through the link above or right here.

December’s word of the month, and focus for schoolwide classroom lessons, is Generosity. What is it? Generosity involves giving those things that are good for others. It is an overall spirit of kindness Why is it important? Many studies highlight the benefits of generosity on both our physical and mental health. Specifically, generosity has been shown to reduce stress, support one’s physical health, enhance one’s sense of purpose, and naturally fight depression. What does it look like? One can show generosity by voluntarily and unselfishly giving time, money, food, kindness, etc to anyone in need

Sniffles, Sneezing, and Cough
The common cold is definitely on the rise! If your child has a heavy congested cough, runny nose, and watery eyes, please keep them home. Don’t hesitate to contact the Nurses’ Office if you are unsure when to send your child to school. Email montic@wrenthamschools.org, or call the Roderick Office. Snacks and Water
Please have your student pack a snack and refillable water bottle everyday. There is a limited supply in the office. Physicals
If your child has an updated physical with immunizations, please send it into the office! |
