Washington Unified School District (WUSD) is excited to announce that five River City High School (RCHS) students have been selected as College Board National Recognition Program recipients, which awards academic honors to underrepresented students.

The College Board's four recognition programs include the National African American Recognition Program, the National Hispanic Recognition Program, the National Indigenous Recognition Program, and the National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.

Please join us in celebrating the following recipients:

Christopher Mariano: National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA)

Diego Mlakar: National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA)

Diego Jimenez: National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA)

Martin Palacios Rodriguez: National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA)

Philip Mlakar: National Hispanic Recognition Award (NHRA)

Students who take eligible administrations of the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams are considered for awards. Students must also identify as African American/Black, Hispanic/Latinx, Indigenous, or attend high school in a rural area or small town. This is not a scholarship program; however, students can include this academic honor in their college and scholarship applications.
