Spring parent-teacher conferences will occur on Wednesday, April 5th (afternoon) and
Thursday, April 6th (evening). The Delaney staff and I believe that educational objectives are best achieved when there is a strong home-school relationship and cooperation between parents and teachers. This relationship is dependent upon effective communication. One of the best means of establishing effective home-school relationships is the parent-teacher conference.

Your child’s teacher will discuss the Learning Focus Areas that have been taught in reading, writing, math, science, and social studies since January.

Conferences will focus on the following topics:

-Strengths of your child in school.

-Areas for growth over the next few months.

-Focus areas taught this fall in ELA, math, science and social studies.

-Preview of new skills and concepts that will be taught in the near future.

Since a successful parent-teacher conference is a joint enterprise, we ask that you are prepared to discuss the following information at the conference:

-Your child's behavior at home.

-Your child’s feelings about school.

-Your child’s health habits, including eating, sleeping and general disposition.

-Use of time out of school, including play, reading, study habits, television, hobbies and interests.

-Relationship with parents, other members of the family, friends, and neighbors.

-Questions you may want to ask about your child and his/her progress.

-Suggestions which would help the teacher work more effectively with your child.

If you have questions for special subject teachers, they will be available on Wednesday, April 5th from 12:30-3:00 and Thursday, April 6th from 5:00-7:30 for drop in conferences.

We look forward to making spring parent-teacher conferences a successful experience for all families!

Placement Information for 2023-2024

We are looking for your input and voice in the placement process for next year. Parent and guardian input is an important aspect of creating balanced classrooms and successful learning experiences for all students.

If you would like to provide parent input for consideration in the placement process, you are invited to complete this Google Form. This is a great opportunity to provide input on your child's strengths, weaknesses, health considerations, and/or potential peer conflicts. Please remember that this is not a tool to request a particular teacher.

We will be accepting placement input from parents and guardians until Wednesday, April 26th. We value parent input in the placement process as an important tool for creating classrooms where all children can find success both academically and socially.

Stop and Shop Community Bag Program

We are so excited to share that Wrentham Elementary PTO has been selected to benefit from Stop & Shop’s Community Bag Program, which makes it easy for customers to contribute to their local communities.  For the month of April, whenever a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Stop & Shop located at 109 Taunton Street, Plainville, MA, $1 will be donated to the Wrentham Elementary PTO. This is a great way to broaden awareness and help our cause.  Let’s get started! Share the news to friends and family. Call, send emails and post on social media. The more people who purchase the Community Bag in April, the more we can raise! To learn more about this program, please visit stopandshop.2givelocal.com.
