Dolores Huerta Day April 10th - On July 18, 2018, Governor Jerry Brown signed Assembly Bill 2644, designating April 10th as Dolores Huerta Day, making the civil rights leader and community organizer the first and only living person to hold this honor.

The Washington Unified School District (WUSD) Board of Trustees also adopted a resolution this school year to honor this day and encourage all WUSD schools to teach about the life and struggles of Dolores Huerta, the rich history of the Central Valley, and to conduct celebrations honoring her life as a powerful force for social justice and empowerment for all.

Join WUSD as we celebrate Dolores Huerta's contributions to this state and our nation. #DoloresHuertaDay #SíSePuede
