Gator Families,

As I think back on last week’s 007 Gala & Auction, I am filled with so much gratitude that it’s hard to express it properly in words.

Whether you made a donation, attended the Gala, or purchased an auction item, YOU helped us raise over $60,000 for our students. The money raised at this year’s Gala and auction will go towards all of our wonderful programs that the Gator Fund sponsors. Our fund-a-need will help improve and add new items to our library.  We can continue to create an exceptional education experience for our students. For this, I thank you.

While we celebrate the fundraising success of the evening, I must also thank those behind the scenes. The months and days leading up to an event like this are filled with hours upon hours of hard work. It is in those days and hours that I once again recognize the true heart of the people who make Golden View the place to be.

We could not do it without the support of our families and community. We look forward to continuing to work with you and your children and truly appreciate you entrusting us with their care and education. Thank you for your support and generosity.

With gratitude,

Meredith Bullock

Special Recognition

Rotary Teacher of the Year- Colette Winton 4/5 Teacher

Colette Winton is an exceptional educator who volunteered to take on our 4/5 combo class and has continued to smile all year while teaching the two grades. The first time I met Colette, she impressed me with her enthusiasm and genuine desire to determine the best way to meet each child’s unique learning needs. Colette is a teacher who connects with her students; she knows each student's interests, strengths, and challenges. She is full of energy, passion, and creativity. When you walk into Colette’s classroom, you instantly notice how she puts her students at the center of her classroom. There is a tangible excitement among her students. She continually reflects on her lessons and is always looking for new ways to evoke curiosity and enthusiasm from her students; her lessons are engaging and full of student choice. Colette consistently displays the desire to successfully inspire her students to learn, which makes her classroom energizing, inspiring, warm, and welcoming.

Classified Employee of the Year- Patti Height

Patti possesses many traits that make her an amazing paraeducator; her caring nature is at the top of the list. She builds relationships with students that carry on throughout the years. In her time at Golden View, she has worked in various classrooms and connected with each teacher and every student.

It is her kindness and patience that students seek out. Her compassion for students who don’t always learn traditionally makes her unique. Patti anticipates the needs of her students and does not hesitate to provide support.  She takes the time to get to know their learning styles and helps them be successful. Patti is always willing to help out anywhere on campus; she is right there for whoever needs help or support. We truly appreciate her dedication, reliability, and friendship!

SRVEF Shining Star- Adriana Fusaro

Adriana Fusaro’s name comes to mind when someone says the words dedicated, heartfelt, patient, and caring. Adriana has been an integral part of our parent community for years, working to support our PTA and Gator Fund. Previously she volunteered as our PTA treasurer and is now our Gator Fund treasurer. She has set up our site registration and supports the site with all our future fund needs! She also spends hours in our library, supporting our librarian and ensuring all students have books to read. Adriana’s leadership has fostered a culture where parents feel welcome and accepted at Golden View.  She is always willing to help and is the first to say, “how can I help?”  Adriana is trustworthy, positive, caring, and dedicated to our school.  We’ve been lucky to have her support our school in so many ways, and we will miss her when she moves on to middle school next year.

Thank you, Adriana, for your years of service to Golden View!
